Job vacancy: Media project coordinator, Warsaw

Belarus in Focus Information Office seeks a full-time project coordinator to be based in Warsaw. 

We offer the opportunity to:

  • Work on media-related projects, cooperating with media inside and outside Belarus.
  • Gain managerial experience – multi-partner projects, and experience in leading 3-5 person teams on projects.
  • Deepen your understanding of how civil society works in CIS countries
  • Work in a small, friendly international team

Required skills/experience:

  • Excellent written and spoken English, good spoken Russian/Belarusian. Any additional languages a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office
  • At least 3 years’ experience of working in NGOs/media. Experience in managing projects and working with donors etc. is a plus.

Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):

  • Write, fundraise, coordinate, monitor and report on media-related projects
  • Monitor media and events on Belarus and Eastern Partnership-related topics
  • Help develop a network of Belarusian and international journalists and media outlets
  • Edit weekly analytics on politics, economics and society in Belarus
  • Use social media to promote Belarus in Focus project activities,  and those of our partners
  • Manage logistics for events (workshops, roundtables, press conferences etc.)
  • Collaborate on creating promotional materials
  • Prepare agendas for workshops and journalist visits
  • Represent organisation at international events
